Package intake, hash verification, KDM review, evidence exports, and a clear escalation path when a package needs deeper desktop analysis.

Use the training workspace first

Cplproof opens with a clearly labeled synthetic package. It contains metadata and deterministic placeholders rather than playable cinema essence. Review Intake, Map, Verify, KDM, and Evidence before opening a private package folder.

Open a DCP folder

Choose the package root containing its AssetMap, Packing List, and Composition Playlist. Cplproof reads only the folder you select. Multi-volume packages should be assembled or mounted according to your facility's procedure before inspection.

Choose hash coverage

The quick scan hashes declared metadata files and records remaining asset digests as pending. Run full hashes when you need to compare all declared package assets. Large media files can take time and require the source drive to remain available.

Interpret OV and VF findings

An Original Version should normally carry the essence referenced by its CPL. A Version File can legitimately depend on matching OV assets. Cplproof treats missing files as blockers for an OV and surfaces unresolved VF dependencies for confirmation before ingest.

Inspect KDM metadata

Import a KDM XML file to compare its composition target and validity window with the scanned package. Confirm the device label and certificate thumbprint against the theater's trusted records. Cplproof does not decrypt content or validate a projector certificate chain.

Export evidence

Open Evidence, enter the operator, venue, drive label, and notes, then generate the local package. Share the PDF, findings CSV, asset manifest CSV, JSON snapshot, and TXT handoff using the Apple share sheet.

Before exhibition

Cplproof is a mobile metadata and file-integrity preflight aid. Complete a standards-aware desktop verifier pass, confirm KDM/device configuration through trusted theater tools, and conduct a controlled screening before exhibition.

Contact support

Include the app version, device model, iOS or iPadOS version, package standard if known, the screen involved, and reproducible steps. Do not email DCP essence, KDM files, private keys, or confidential venue identifiers.
